Taylor BreenTaylor Breen
Taylor Breen recently finished his senior football season at Lakota West. Taylor was the starting quarterback for the Firebirds for ’07. It was a season in which the Firebirds ended with a record of 5 wins and 5 losses. Breen set single game records for the most passing yards in a game (272 yards) and also the most touchdown passes in a game (3). He also became the second all-time in passing yards, in the schools young history, with 1038 yards in a season.

However all of his accomplishments didn’t happen over night. For three years Taylor has been training at Explosion Fitness Solutions to increase his strength, agility and speed. He has trained five days a week every week when possible for the last 2 ½ years. His hard work, dedication and character have been noticed by many people around him as well as some who are just getting to know him -college coaches. Last month, Breen signed his National Letter of Intent to play for Truman State University (Kirksville, MO). He has a great opportunity in front of him to become a great quarterback at the collegiate level and his hard work will continue to bring success for him on and off the field.

He earned 1st team all-city and all-state honors when he was district champ in the 200 and 400 runs (he holds the school record in both events) and finished 5th at state in the 200. He played 3 years of basketball, too. A good student active in community service, DeVier’s favorite athletes are Chad Johnson & Dwayne Wade, favorite entertainers are Jamie Foxx & Dave Chappelle, and most-like-to-meet is Jerry Rice. DeVier will play football next year at Ohio State.
